The Great UP Run 2026 takes place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, starting at 4:00 AM. The venue for the gathering is the A.S. Parking Lot along The Beta Way in UP Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Organized by RUNRIO in partnership with the UP Office for Athletics and Sports Development, the event serves as part of an initiative to support the Varsity Teams of the University of the Philippines. The assembly brings together the broader UP community, welcoming students, faculty from all campuses, alumni, varsity athletes, and their families, friends, and supporters. Participants can select from 5KM and 16KM race categories, which cater to runners of diverse ability levels ranging from those building experience to seasoned competitors aiming to challenge their limits.
